Increase in official fees at EPO and EUIPO (previously OHIM)

Although our service charges of 2015 in general continue apply to our services in 2016, the official bureaus regularly review and change their official fees. Read more about the changes to official fees at the European Patent Office (EPO) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO - previously OHIM) here.

With effect from April 1st, 2016, the EPO has raised many of their official fees with 1 to 2 percent. The new official fees apply to fees which are actually paid on or after April 1st, 2016, regardless of the due date. Our Schedule of Charges has been updated accordingly.

With effect from March 23, 2016, the EUIPO has updated their structure of official fees in accordance with the amended trademark regulation that came into effect on March 23, 2016. The structure has changed from a 'flat fee' for three classifications to a separate fee for each individual class. The new official fees apply to trademarks which are filed or renewed on or after March 23, 2016. Our Schedule of Charges has been updated accordingly.
