To obtain optimal protection for your intellectual works. That is the goal of Bart van Trier, Dutch and European Patent Attorney at Vriesendorp & Gaade. This requires a good understanding of the clients wishes and needs. This also requires a good collaboration with the client. The resulting patent application comprises all aspects of the invention and is custom made for the purpose as intended by the client.
Bart works since april 2015 at the department of Mechanical Engineering of Vriesendorp & Gaade. In 2012, Bart was sworn in as a Dutch Patent Attorney. In 2015, he passed the European Qualifying Examinatinon and was registered as a European Patent Attorney. In the daily practice, his activities include performing literature studies, drafting and prosecuting patent applications and providing advice on infringement.
Bart studied Technical Physics at the Fontys Hogescholen in Eindhoven, and Biomedical Technology at the Technical University of Eindhoven. In 2005, he obtained his Bachelor degree with a specialisation in Medical Technology, and in 2008, he graduated with a Masters Degree in Medical Engineering, specialising in Clinical Physics. His first graduation project related to the treatment of liver metastases through Radiofrequency Interstitial Thermotherapy (RFITT). For his second graduation project he contributed to the implementation of radiotherapeutical stereotactic treatment of lung tumors on the basis of a 4D CT-scan. Furthermore, he collaborated in the improvement of the durability of water use in pig slaughtering houses, and verifying electronic fields for radiotherapeutic purposes.
Because of the combination of the studies Technical Physics and Medical Engineering, Bart has in depth knowledge of various fields of technology. He gained further experience in various technical fields during his time as a trainee patent attorney. He has experience in physics, mechanical engineering, medical technology, control systems, solar energy systems, process technology, domestic appliances, offshore technology and mechatronics.
