Since July 2023, Merijn works as a trainee patent attorney at the Chemical department of Vriesendorp & Gaade. His activities include the drafting and prosecution of patent applications for Dutch and foreigh clients, under the guidance of an experienced patent attorney.
Background information
Merijn studied Chemistry at Avans Hogeschool and at Leiden University and has obtained his PhD on a research in the field of Chemical Biology, also at Leiden University.

Because of his study in Chemistry and his PhD research, Merijn has a broad knowledge of various fields of chemical technology, in particular with respect to organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, medical chemistry and chemical biology.
